Doctoral degree (or foreign equivalent). Experience in the areas of mouse genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree (or foreign equivalent) in Genetics, Molecular Biology or Bio-Chemistry.

Brief Description of Duties:

The Postdoctoral Associate will conduct experiments using novel genetic mouse models developed for in-depth mechanistic studies of inflammation/obesity in pancreatic tumorigenesis to work on research projects focused on pancreatic cancer biology.

  • Conduct research experiments using novel genetic mouse models for in-depth studies of inflammation / obesity in pancreatic tumorgenesis and the link between reactive oxygen species (ROS), cancer metabolism and oncogenic Kras in cancer development.

  • Study genetics of mice and the relation to pancreatic cancer biology.

  • Maintain database containing all animal information

  • Documentation of studies, data collection and analysis and literature searches.

  • Preparation of manuscripts for publication in scientific journals and presentation at national meetings. May also assist with grant reports and proposal writing.
