At StonyBrook Medicine, a TH Medical Radiographer III/II/I is a valuable member of our team, who provides clinicalservices to our patient population. Produces diagnostic exams, positions, and transferspatients, provides immobilization devices, selects proper technical factors onan individual patient basis, selects and operates equipment.

Duties of a TH MedicalRadiographer III/II/I i n the Cat Scan Department may include thefollowing but are not limited to:
Brief Description ofDuties:
Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safetystandards, assisting physician in administering opaque media, responsible fordelegating areas of authority in the performance of routine or specialprocedures, may be responsible for specific areas of instruction in the schoolof technology and ancillary personnel.
In the absence of the supervisor or senior technologist, may bedesignated as acting supervisor.
Assists in performing first aid, as necessary, practices steriletechniques and prevents cross-contamination.
May conduct periodic quality control tests, will participate orconduct research in required specialty.
Will be required to teach radiology students in specialty.
Required to each radiology students or appropriate hospitalpersonnel established procedures and operation of equipment, in accordance withthe guidelines and teaching objectives of the department.
Will be required to participate in the Mobile Stroke Unit rotation.
Required Qualifications: Graduate from a Radiology Technology Program, ARRT Certified, NYS DOH Licensed inRadiology Technology, and certification in IV Contrast Injection. BLS Certification. Incumbent will be required to participate in the Mobile Stroke Unit rotation.
* Preferred Qualifications: * Certified CatScan, and hospital experience.
