Position Summary

At Stony Brook Medicine, our Director of Enterprise Analytics is responsible for leading the Data Visualization team of healthcare analysts to produce reports to present and successfully advance initiatives for the hospital and population health. The candidate will work in unison with Suffolk Care Collaborative as an active member, and work with health care system management to resolve conflict and build relationships to achieve positive goals and results

Duties of the

Director of Enterprise Analytics in Hospital Information Services may include the following but are not limited to:

  • Under the direction of the Chief Medical Information Officer and the Chief Information Officer this candidate has core responsibility for the following:

  • Coach and mentor Data Visualization team.

  • Facilitate committees and co-chair committees with report governance and incorporating data governance.

  • Support all aspects related to the successful implementation of Cerner’s HealtheRegistries, HealtheCare, and HealtheAnalytics.)

  • Be an active member of the Suffolk Care Collaborative – working closely with population health to support and advance the DSRIP initiative

  • Manage a team of healthcare data analysts for population health outcome analysis

  • Support the Analytics platform for DSRIP

  • Work with clinicians to develop, disseminate and implement best-practice clinical guidelines and define specific metrics for outcome performance measurement.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 5 years of experience in leadership role

  • Previous experience in business analytics

  • Experience managing large scale software implementations

  • Ability to lead groups and work collaboratively with physicians and health system management/leadership.

  • Adaptive and flexible, models collaboration, tactfully communicates with all levels and clinicians, physicians, executives, management and others.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills

  • Must have a proven track record of successful implementations

  • Able to resolve conflict.

  • Excellent performance record and proven ability to produce positive results

  • Must be able to work well in a fast-paced, heterogeneous environment

  • Ability to plan, direct and coordinate all activities of multiple teams with minimal supervision as a high functioning, highly accountable leader

  • Proven track record solving highly complex problems

  • Excellent critical thinking and innovative skills when developing solutions to meet business needs

* Preferred Qualifications: *

Master’s Degree, experience with Cerner products, experience with Kronos and Infor-Lawson Systems, experience in PeopleSoft, experience in visualization and reports in applications such as Tableau and Crystal Reports.Previous experience in population health preferred.
