Clinical Assistant/Associate or Full Professor of Psychiatry

Required Qualifications

MD with Board Eligibility or Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. New York State license eligible. Able to provide cross-coverage as necessary. Full time availability. Research experience/publications/funding in mood disorders. At least 3 years of Post Residency experience in Child and Adolescent psychiatry including Child Psychiatric administrative experience. Track record of research /teaching experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Preferred Qualifications

MD and PhD. Track record of NIH funded research, excellent clinical skills.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Mood disorder researcher needed to bring research endeavors and serve as Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Responsibilities are to include performing research, directing research and overseeing direct patient care, administration of a 10-bed child and adolescent teaching unit, outpatient clinic, school based evaluation programs and supervision of medical students and residents. Facilitation/participation in research involving psychiatric inpatient and outpatient treatment.

To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine ( School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).

Special Notes

This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
